-
What kind of wax do you use?We use luxury 100% natural coconut, sunflower and apricot blends to create a clean-burning, eco-friendly candle. Our waxes are free from paraffin, phthalates, and other harmful additives.
-
Are your candles non-toxic?Yes! We prioritize safety and sustainability, which means our candles are made with non-toxic, phthalate-free fragrances and lead-free, cotton or wood wicks. Our candles burn clean, without releasing harmful chemicals into your home.
-
Do your candles contain essential oils? No. While some essential oils might seem appealing for scented candles, they are often not ideal due to poor scent throw, potential for unpleasant odors when burned, and the fact that they are not designed for candle use. Poor Scent Throw: Many essential oils degrade or burn off quickly when exposed to the heat of a candle flame, resulting in little to no scent. Unpleasant Odors: Some essential oils, when heated, can produce an unpleasant or even "burnt" scent, which can be a disappointing experience. Not Designed for Candle Use: Essential oils are not formulated for use in candles and may not mix well with candle wax, leading to uneven fragrance distribution or even greasy residue. Flammability and Safety: Some essential oils are highly flammable and can pose a fire hazard when used in candles. Cost: Essential oils are much more expensive than fragrance oils, making them a less cost-effective option for creating scented candles. Fragrance Oils are Better Suited: Fragrance oils are specifically formulated for use in candles and are designed to withstand heat and provide a strong, long-lasting scent
-
Are your candles vegan and cruelty-free?Yes! All of our candles are cruelty-free and made without animal testing. We only use coconut, sunflower and apricot waxes. We leave the beeswax to the bees!
-
How do I make my candle last longer? To get the most out of your candle: Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn to prevent soot and ensure an even burn. Allow the first burn to last until the wax melts to the edges of the jar (about 2-3 hours). This prevents tunneling and extends burn time. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time to keep the wax from overheating.
-
What should I do with the jar after my candle is finished? We encourage reuse and recycling! Our candle jars make great storage containers, plant pots, or decorative holders. To clean out the jar, place it in the freezer for a few hours and pop out the remaining wax, or pour hot but not boiling! water inside to melt and remove residue.
-
Why is my candle tunneling?Tunneling happens when a candle burns straight down the wick, leaving wax around the edges. To prevent this, always let your first burn melt the entire top layer of wax (which may take 2-3 hours). If tunneling has already started, try using a foil wrap method to help the wax melt evenly again.
-
My wooden wick won’t stay lit. What should I do?If your wood wick keeps going out, try these steps: Trim the wick to ⅛ inch before relighting. Remove any burnt wood from the tip. Make sure you’re lighting the wick at the base where it meets the wax.
